Semi-Permanent Makeup With Microblading
If you’ve overplucked your eyebrows to the point where hair no longer grows back, microblading could be an excellent alternative. Microblading uses semi-permanent makeup to mimic the appearance of natural, full-looking brows. That means you can kiss your makeup routine goodbye, since you’ll always have eyebrows that look ready for the spotlight.
Microblading is now available at Vivid Skin & Laser Center!
How Does Microblading Work?
Microblading uses several small needles to deposit tiny amounts of color into the second layer of the dermis. The procedure is similar to tattoo artistry in that your aesthetician will use a handheld tool to manually deposit the color. The color is delivered in such a way to mimic the feathery strokes of actual hair follicles, which delivers a more realistic appearance.
By using manual methods, your aesthetician can exert greater control over the final results of your procedure.
Microblading is safe to use on all skin types, making it a go-to treatment for aestheticians at Vivid Skin & Laser Center.
What Is the Procedure Like?
Before the procedure begins, your aesthetician will draw on brows to ensure you’re happy with the shape. Once you’ve agreed on what you’d like your eyebrows to look like, your aesthetician will make tiny hair-like cuts in the skin, where the colored pigment will be deposited. The entire process is performed right at Vivid Skin & Laser Center.
The 60-minute procedure feels similar to undergoing threading or waxing, so patients may experience slight discomfort.
It’s important to refrain from getting your eyebrows wet for at least one week after the procedure. Additionally, cover your eyebrows with ointment if you plan on working up a sweat. Use an antibiotic for the first 24 hours to help avoid any infections.
How Many Treatments Will I Need?
Clients need only one treatment to see optimal results; these results can last between 1 to 3 years. Some clients may need a touch-up after 12 months.
Is Microblading Right For Me?
Microblading may be a good option for you if you have sparse eyebrows and you’re tired of constantly having to fill in your eyebrows with makeup.
